Jay-z live at coachella 2010
Although Jay-Z’s duet with Beyoncé on “Young Forever” was the talk around town, there was much more to his nearly two-hour set at Coachella, where he made history by becoming the first solo rap artist to headline the festival.
In a nod to Glastonbury, the CEO of the Roc rocked out to Oasis’ “Wonderwall.” He brought the concrete jungle to the desert with “Empire State of Mind” featuring Roc Nation’s rising star Bridget Kelly. And just when he began to lose his voice, he hit festival-goers with his Panjabi MC collabo “Beware of the Boys” and a rock remix of “Heart of the City (Ain’t No Love).”
