Just leather and rubber right? Let’s face it there is much more that goes into a shoe than just the raw materials thrown and sewn together. While every shoe has a story to tell, the stories that the “Space Jam” Air Jordan 11 tells are of legendary status.
In celebration of the release of the Space Jams, we have put together a quick history of this iconic sneaker.

For Game 1 & 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals, Michael Jordan turned heads and broke necks breaking out the “Concord” Air Jordan 11. Repeating history, these shoes were swiftly banned because of a uniform violation since the rest of the Bulls were wearing blacked out sneakers. Game 3 MJ took on Penny wearing his shoe, the Nike Air Flight 1, but for Game 3 when the series came to Chicago, Jordan broke out a shoe that would be later referred to as the “Space Jams”. Though the shoes did technically sport black treads on the bottom of the sole, the shoes did rock a royal blue Jumpman and clear sole just like what we would later see in his Silver Screen debut.
